Movie Review : CLASH of The TITANs

hi folks,

today was my free day after 5 days of struggle with books and other study materials . so i decided to go for a movie..:CLASH OF THE TITANS".
this was a much awaited movie and buzz is all around.

i had observed the amount of talks about the movie, all sorts of marketing stunts , gimmicks and finally the reviews (4 star, 8/10 rating points....).

therefore, i decided to go for it.

well story first:

Movie : CLASH OF THE TITANS
Director : unknown
Star cast : Hero " AVATAAR"

the story starts with a bang, like KAAL-CHAKRA in mahabharat serial, a narrator explains about ZEUS, HAEDIS & other Greek gods and their deeds/misdeeds.

the there comes a boy, Persious!!!! he is the hero of the movie.

the story line is really fantastic one liner:
"Zeus permitted Haedis to unleash hell on earth so that the people on earth start their offering prayers to the god again but this weakened Zeus in turn and energised Haedis whose power lied in the fear of humans.

one fine day, Haedis killed family of Percious and thus this motivated or triggered Percious to avenge the death of his parents.

OOPs i forgot to tell you that Percious was son of ZEUS. i should say illegitimate son of ZEUS as the God himself raped a queen ( Kya culture hai, Greece ka? WoW)

there were many characters in the movie including blue eyed mummies also.

hummfffff................its really boring and tiresome to explain the story here therefore now i will do what i do the best : CRITICISM

*************************************************************************************
Clash of the TiTANS is like titanic, not the block buster TITANIC but the ship that sunk in its maiden journey .

the reason i am saying this is due to the similarities between the two.
similar to TITANIC SHIP,
it has a big canvass
it is much talked about.
it is very well manufactured.
it involves huge investment
finally,
it sunk all expectations!!!!

take some bullet points:

Positive:

1. Big canvass movie
2. special effects
3. some interesting scenes ( scorpions)
5. a pretty decent work in showing some fabulous scenes ( dismantling Statue of Zeus)

Negative:

1. story ( no story at all)
2. pace (no pace , poor editing)
3. wastage of resources ( poor use of fighters the mortals, MUMMY etc, they never featured as important factor in the movie)
4. weak acting from each actor except the fisherman
5. the intricate copy of the previous movie
6. poor dialogues
7. no fierce battle scene
8. low intensity movie
9. no love affair in this

there are many more but i am very nice at heart so wont write much about them now.

to conclude about the movie,
i havent seen the earlier version of this movie but certainly the treatment is not appropriate as far as the pace, intensity and the rationale of the movie is concerned.
also while making such a big canvass movie, the director has to put in some breathtaking scenes and twists and turns but here director failed miserably.

the movie didnot lived to the expectations attached to it. (at all for me)

if i have to rate it then i would give 2 stars only for special effects and few positives that i have stated earlier.

if i have to name it then i would say "CLASH OF TITANICs : reality turns movie "

signing off.

but moral of the story is that "apni akkal lagao, baato par naa jao"

‘Rainbow"

its a story in the backdrop of recent Mumbai blast at 6:53 pm in dadar, where a person dies.this is the last page of his life....... 7:30 am A lazy morning in Mumbai, sunlight is filtering through the curtains and on the bed, I am lazily thinking about priorities of my day. I have office at 9, meet with international clients at 11, prepare for tomorrows presentation till 4, then have meeting with boss at 6, hummff that’s it for the day!!! No, no I forgot one thing I have to go to car machanic for wheel alignment as well but before 7 pm at any cost. Well, after getting all the days business set in my mind, I dug my face again in the pillow and fell asleep only when a screaming sound made entry over my ear drums “aaj to Bandar-Bandariya ki shaadi ho rahi hai”(today monkey couple are marrying eachother)…..it was my little kido “Saniya” whom we all call Sana. She jumped over my belly and said,”papa, dekho na bahar kitna acha lag raha hai, barish aur dhoop sath sath”. I grazed out of...

AN INDIAN'S CRY.............

An Indians’ CRY….... Marathi Manoooooos……………whats that??? I acknowledge only one manoooos…………..the common man! The common man ---R.K.LAXMAN’S COMMON MAN! Indian middle class who is always sandwiched between the rocky roughness of corruption and politics. Once again this has happening in Maharashtra. I don’t understand few things what Mr. SWAR _Raj wants to convey as Marathi pride……… 1) Where was Raj, when there were thousands of MARATHI MANOOS committing suicide in Vidarbha and Marathwada.? ( still suicides are prevalent) 2) Where was Raj, when terrorists rocked Mumbai in December last year? ( in his safe house) 3) Where was Raj, when there were 1993 riots? ( Was he a child that time, a spoon fed baby) These three questions are like triangle problem to me whose angles are so obtuse that it is difficult to figure out the area of the triangle. I don’t understand, what they gonna provide to Marathi common man? 1) an identity of ruckus? 2) an identity of mindless g...

Be Moral : make a new beginning!!!

“At the cash counter of civil hospital in the city of Lucknow, there was a spat going on. A young boy, (roughly around 16-17yrs old, clad in untidy clothes, unshaved and with wet eyes) was having a heated debate with the counter man, who on the opposite side of the window, was throwing typical hot-words. Nobody around were looking interested in the debate, but were firmly enjoying the drama with loads of enthusiasm. I was moving towards parking after meeting my relative who was admitted over there, but looks of the boy compelled me to get into the spat. I went to the counter & asked the boy ,”what happened, bhai”? He glanced & tried to figure out whether I am related to the hospital or not, when he failed to assess, he replied, “I need the final bills to get cleared but the counter man says to come after 3 pm”. I looked at my watch, it was 11:45 am, as is apparent, Govt. employees work only post lunch, in the similar fashion, a time of 3:30pm was wisely advised. Then I sug...
