Wrath of The Titans

History repeats itself.........a very old proverb but is still relevant in these times. I have become a movie freak in Chennai with a movie in my list every Saturday, but to my surprise the movies i went for so far were not only good but also restored my faith in Hindi movies. Thanks to solo brilliance from Irrfaan in PAAN SINGH TOMAR and Vidya Balan in KAHAANI.., awesome acting, editing, screenplay and most important, the soul of movie didn't shift into non-sense mathematics of commercial cinema. And this weekend, it was one of my old buddy "TITANS", about whom i had, had a very nasty time back in 2010. Over the same platform of Point Blank, i had to pour my frustration after watching the dead "Clash of the Titans". Lets start with the background : I planned to watch this movie coz of 2 reasons: 1. Big canvas movie in 3D 2. To quench my thirst for some jaw dropping effects. therefore, i went to Escape in Express Avenue Mall, the only place to hangou

Spectoons : My colours: Dark Room

Even after securing MBA degree and working for almost one year, you ask anybody........answer is always the same!!!! this is reality of this dark room called career.....

Spectrum : My colours!!!

Sometimes country needs some stringent laws to make public understand the gravity of situation but its upto the public to take things in manner which laws are meant to be taken........... here is my take on the recent change in Traffic Laws in INDIA: this is one situation where rampant corruption gives more chances for Traffic police to earn more (here 5 times) as per simple arithmetic. Now the situation II gives another look 'how people make fun of laws....this is how most of educated and so called modern society takes the new laws... Hope you all like these sketches and will give your comments and suggestions...

Part-II :This is not what i wanted

“No,no don’t do this!!! It was a full throttle scream which came from behind, I turned back, it was my boss there. No this is not your destiny, you cant leave the battleground without fighting, atleast not like this.Mark my words " Life is bowl of colours, its upto you to choose your colour...........CHOOSE IT"!!! “But I am fed up of all this, its been 3 months since am suffering each day, there hasn’t been a single mint when I have felt good, felt as if my life is worth living. I am dying everyday, every moment from inside, now I feel it’s the time! “ I told him with tears in my eyes. Boss came closer, put his hand over my shoulder said me to come to his cabin. Time 6:30 pm Place: South corner, Floor 1, Videocon Tower, Jhandewalan Extension, New Delhi I was surprised to see a pizza box with my favourte drink on the table. Unbelievable, this cant be him. He offered me the stuffs and asked,”were you serious? Or just oozing out your frustration?” certainly it was a

Be Moral : make a new beginning!!!

“At the cash counter of civil hospital in the city of Lucknow, there was a spat going on. A young boy, (roughly around 16-17yrs old, clad in untidy clothes, unshaved and with wet eyes) was having a heated debate with the counter man, who on the opposite side of the window, was throwing typical hot-words. Nobody around were looking interested in the debate, but were firmly enjoying the drama with loads of enthusiasm. I was moving towards parking after meeting my relative who was admitted over there, but looks of the boy compelled me to get into the spat. I went to the counter & asked the boy ,”what happened, bhai”? He glanced & tried to figure out whether I am related to the hospital or not, when he failed to assess, he replied, “I need the final bills to get cleared but the counter man says to come after 3 pm”. I looked at my watch, it was 11:45 am, as is apparent, Govt. employees work only post lunch, in the similar fashion, a time of 3:30pm was wisely advised. Then I sug

"can we break the Blockade?"

Writer's Block "can we break this Blockade?"...asks Vinod I dint posted anything in last few days, because: 1. I was not well. 2. My lappi crashed. 3. I was upset with my galfriend going out for a movie, without me!! 4. I was not ready with some stuffs to put up here...........phew so many!!!! Actually, I am a laggard, lethargic and lazyness personified!!!! well come back to "Writer's Block"!!!! Comeon lets see, few headlines in newspaper for different places: A) New Delhi "18 year old gal, abducted and gang raped in a moving car in Mongolpuri area". B) Pune "Lady on a business conference in Lonavala, raped by the worker of Resort" C) Pune " MBA student from Balaji Society committed suicide last night" hmmmm...........interestingly all incidents were related to gals!!! sadly, in a country where Godesses are worshipped, where the source of power, source of education, source of wealth all are governed

"well done but its not done"

"Paani ko taraste............" the title song in the movie Well Done Abba says it all... when you are thirsty, you understand the value of water the most.. today i saw this movie n finally said "well done Boman" certainly you are the most versatile actor in the industry in current times. now lets come to point...blank!!! Yesterday, Ganga ghat of holy city of Varanasi was shattered by an IED blast in the morning at 6:30 hrs. IED means Improvised Exlposive Device, an improved explosive which was heard in German Bakery blast case in past year. Does this means this was a terror attack?? may be yes, may be no!! But one thing for sure, the security lapses are the only big reason behind the attack... & the aftermath, blame game is on again like every incidence that takes place here. Mr.Chidambaram said something. Ms.Mayavati retaliated in her typical style. phewww........what an excuse by the secretary of state, that the warnings provided b

".............Roar.......is back"""""

"aaahhhh! Yeh Dil Maange More............" a famous one liner from a well known soft drink company when amalgamated with likes of Capt.Vikram Batra produced a huge roar in the cinema hall called "Gurudev Talkies" in outskirts of Kanpur in a area called Sharda Nagar. I can recollect memories of the movie LOC-Kargill when an emotion led audience was energized with all ***** in the movie & all the one liners of the movie. Now the question arises why m i writing about some incident which occurred in 2003-04 after a well spent 6 years>? this is because of the same feel, same emotion burst that i had today. not only me, i am convinced that there must be 20 other guys with similar feeling at this point of time when i am writing all this. While writing my previous post "Silence of the Lambs", i wrote in the penultimate line: "i want to see roar around me" & this is what is happening at 10:15 pm of 29th Nov'10. I a

Silence of the Lambs........

Have you ever seen lambs in the slaughter houses??? No? ok then i must tell you that if you have to figure out the tension, agony, pain, fear among them then look into eye of one of them.................Everything is self explanatory there. hmmmmm, why am i talking about Lambs, well i am just trying to compare lambs with humans. I am placement co-ordinator for the batch 09-11 and this is what i find in the fag end of day when results are ought to come & all aspirants sit, stand, totter like lambs. i won't say that they have pain, agony, fear in their eyes but yes, FF is there.........Fear of Failure...!!! Look what they do....... 1. keep their fingers crossed...in anticipation of some luck which can give them much sought after result. 2. Try to talk about anything which can keep them aloof of the proceedings but somewhere in the back of their mind, RESULTs keep revolving. 3. Keep sitting, standing in a certain position which they feel, can bring in so

Pehli Door-ghatna : first mishap///

A lazy morning, a lazy bed and a very very very lazy sleeping giant over the bed...ie, me!!!! Alarm rang n somehow i managed to look at my mobile about the description of the alarm. It made me jump out of my blanket and i rushed to toi/bathroom to do the natural job. interestingly the last word in the above line was the Description of the Alarm that made me to jump out of bed..........aahhh it is a placement day!!! placement day : a d-day for any MBA student irrespective of whether he has taken loan or not. irrespective of how many backlogs one has secured during his journey during MBA. so as far as i am concerned, neither i have taken any loan for studies nor i could manage any backlog during the stint of 2 years. therefore, i can say that i am not from the happening lot of the batch who enjoy the good golden days of adventure of backlogs or the pressure of calculating & repayment of loans. ohhh i forgot, i was talking about Placements.... you know, "Placements

Vinny's Trap II : Derailed Train in BOMBAY

hey friends, its been quite some time since i have not updated the trap. so here we go, this is the one i made long ago after the Train journey by Rahul Gandhi in Mumbai & the repercussions after that. i don't know what problem Thakrey and sons have but certainly they get annoyed with any event that is unexpected for them. come on Man!!! politics is a game, play like a man!! don't let anybody lake fun of you, like i do. enjoy!!!

Movie Review : CLASH of The TITANs

hi folks, today was my free day after 5 days of struggle with books and other study materials . so i decided to go for a movie..:CLASH OF THE TITANS". this was a much awaited movie and buzz is all around. i had observed the amount of talks about the movie, all sorts of marketing stunts , gimmicks and finally the reviews (4 star, 8/10 rating points....). therefore, i decided to go for it. well story first: Movie : CLASH OF THE TITANS Director : unknown Star cast : Hero " AVATAAR" the story starts with a bang, like KAAL-CHAKRA in mahabharat serial, a narrator explains about ZEUS, HAEDIS & other Greek gods and their deeds/misdeeds. the there comes a boy, Persious!!!! he is the hero of the movie. the story line is really fantastic one liner: "Zeus permitted Haedis to unleash hell on earth so that the people on earth start their offering prayers to the god again but this weakened Zeus in turn and energised Haedis whose power lied in the fear of

2nd sem z gonna finnnnish..

hey folks, this is march 13th 2010 and it seems life is running in full throttle and the gear is unlikely to shift backwards. the time is passing faster than the clock (looks like), it feels as if yesterday we joined SIIB and today we are one year old here. 6th june, 2009 was the day when i became a part of SIIb and till today, its been a journey full of fun, full of harassments, full of bullying and full of comedy of errors!!!! i have stored many sweet memories in my limited retention capacity provided in brain and certainly its gona be a rich treasure in future. let me jot down few deadly memories in sequence of priority: !)GODBOLE : conflict over POTENTIAL.... 2)Salil : Mug case... 3)Manish : Kedarnath epidemic.... 4)Sood : Tange- Tunge... 5)Kullu : CR elections these are the five best moments that i have on the preference list. now the bad memories which i survived and loved alot....... 1) Godbole : re viva (twice) 2) Chitnis : Stats trivia ( always unsol

RE-public DAY

guys, Happy "re_PUBLIC day" all mundane activities took place, nothing new at all. get up in the morning & get ready for the FLAG hosting ceremony, again some pleasant words thrown targeting poor students, aahhh! but in New Delhi, hundreds of crores spent on the flower decoration, stage management, dance groups , managing thousands of people etc etc, also few hundred crores went in ashes to rope in fighter planes, "choppers" and also to portray the might of Indian army in the form of decorated "Soldiers"- demonstrating their skills of march past and other bravery items etc. certainly it is a huge task to manage these kind of programs where you expect the World media and everybody to keep an eagle eye at a slightest mistakes. therefore everything is thoroughly checked and tested before the final event. you know all care is taken by the Cultural Ministry, HRD ministry, Defense ministry and all top officials who get only 2 chance in a

RBI-----Blunderrrrr

hey GUYYYYSSssssssssssssssssssss I Am SELECTED AS iNTERNs IN RESERVE BANK OF INDIA !!!! sounds crazzy isn't it??? truly crazy! i don't have words to explain my feelings so i will take help from a movie....... i remember lines from the movie "A Beautiful Mind"...........terrified, petrified, stupefied.......so on!! anyways letme tell you about RBI... it is the governing body of all economic affairs happening all across India. nice intro (isn't it?) now, the question comes into my mind---Why they selected me? u know i was even reluctant to go to RBI on 12th for interview. i finished my PR in chandigarh and joined college on 7th only to see me in the whirlpool of RBI. now, the time constraint killed and cramped me completely. anyways i am braveheart so didnot lost the hopes and started studying day-night. my concentration level so grew that even i continued studies when Achal(my roomie) switched off lights .(Hmmmm) and one fine day, on 12th

power gone : Jyoti babu

Saturday. time: 7:30 pm venue: a very old architecture with red bricks and wooden chairs along with Teak-tables, a waiter in posh-white outfit reminding me of British era, this place is "Coffee House" in the Civil lines area of Allahabad city. . Over the corner table on my left there were two oldies sitting, not just sitting though, but sipping there coffee. complete silence, a pin-drop per say. only the crumble sound of news-paper, if at all turned. both oldies very so carried away with that news-paper article that they forgot the world around them. sudden electricity fails, one of the two said, Jyoti Babu chole geche !!!! and there was big laugh all around,,,,, i was perplexed what electricity has to do with Jyoti babu?? i asked the gentleman what he meant by that? he offered me a chair and ordered a cup of coffee for me as well. he told me that both are Bengolis and they were part of Communist movement in the late sixties and late seventies whi

SIIB : Ignited Ignited ignited !!!!!!!!!

have you heard about EUREKA EUREKA EUREKA !!!???? certainly u must have but now its time to yell another one........IGNITED IGNITED IGNITED !!!!!!! yeah ! we did it, finally we surpassed all apprehensions and other barriers and crossed all borders to convey the message of self-construction & self-motivation....... Coelho rightly says, "when i decide to do something, entire world conspires to let it happen !!!" these golden words turned true in last 2 days and we SIIbians made a history of grand success of Ignisense! now, let me tell me what i am taking out for myself... i along with mukesh and umesh painted the Igni-Circle and which was used as Igni-logo. also i painted the basket-ball court wall single handedly but i take pride to name Mukesh, Umesh, yogesh, jyoti and all others who contributed immensely to make my dream of carving out the figures on the wall. i participated in face painting, tatoo making, flex-painting, t-shirt designing, a

SIIB : KISAN----India's largest Kisan fare!

Mulshi Kisan Mela” One of its kind and one of the largest in India in terms of the corporate participation and the total number of footfalls here. I am here from last 3 days and this is the fourth and last day of this “kisan fare”. Feeling quite releaved and I must say that its been a real fun and a great experience in terms of the “On road Sales” . 72 hours have been passed and now I can say that I am well versed in ground level marketing and publicity of the Symbiosis Brand. I couldnot count but I can say that I have interacted at least a thousand farmers and working executives here in this Kisan Mela. This is for the very obvious reason “ASHWAGANDHA”……………… Ashwagandha : a name which is haunting me and the entire team from last 6 months and I am really F**ked up with the Ashwa…. Gandh and really this smell has kept me busy all the time scolding our GOD. This God is tangible, existing that we can see , touch , feel and get scared of. Hmmmmm its really good to be atheist ………….

after Poor Show..........lets ignite everything!!!

hehy guys, once again they failed to put up a good show. once again they tried hard to climb the heights but lost creeping on the edges!!!!!!!!!! yes i am talking about ...NEEV.......!!! where SC*HRD failed to build castles which they had thought(?).... the only good thing in the show was the presence of Army camp and few towering flags, not because they were attractive because they were like patch up to the torn trousers!!!!!!!!! anyways "i should not pull them down as to pull somebody u need to go below them"....... so its time to get the height and what could be the better way than the IGNISENSE where SIIB'ians do the sensible things and talk sense. the countdown has began and now this is time to pull your socks and tighten your belts to set the tune of grand success!! we talk sense" lets prove it this year. to start with the this aim, here is the LOGO : Ignisense: the concept behind the logo is : . 1. Green color to symbolize
