Silence of the Lambs........

Have you ever seen lambs in the slaughter houses???

No? ok then i must tell you that if you have to figure out the
tension, agony, pain, fear among them then look into eye of one
of them.................Everything is self explanatory there.

hmmmmm, why am i talking about Lambs, well i am just trying to
compare lambs with humans.

I am placement co-ordinator for the batch 09-11 and this is what
i find in the fag end of day when results are ought to come & all
aspirants sit, stand, totter like lambs.

i won't say that they have pain, agony, fear in their eyes but yes,
FF is there.........Fear of Failure...!!!

Look what they do.......

1. keep their fingers crossed...in anticipation of some luck which
can give them much sought after result.

2. Try to talk about anything which can keep them aloof of the proceedings
but somewhere in the back of their mind, RESULTs keep revolving.

3. Keep sitting, standing in a certain position which they feel, can bring in
some luck....it reminded me of sachin tendulkar who is famous for his chair where
he glues himself up in tense situation of the match, in order to find some luck for
the players on the ground.

4. Even few see towards the door of fortune which encloses the HR people......!!!!

seriously a tense situation, which is followed by cheer from 1 or 2 among them
and.........

and....a mild smile, a half-hearted hug to the selected people!!!

and....little wet eyes which are contradicted by smile over the face..(a tough smile
which is hard to keep)...

and an outburst in the wash room with tears in the eyes!!!!

So near Yet so Far.....!!!

And what is there for me??

certainly a happiness for those who get through & little pain for those who miss out
in the fray.

As it was said in the movie, Veer-Zara, that "kaidi ka koi naam nahi hota, hota hai to sirf number" means a prisoner doesnt have name, he only has number"...

In the same way, For a placement cordinator, a selected student is just a number,
no emotions is attached with him/her atleast at that point of time.

a number which keep getting down.........like 45 left, 44 left n so on....!!!

As the days are passing the pressure is mounting, this is end of November when i am
writing this with absolutely no ray of hope in the tunnel atleast for myself...

Student tend to forget that a placement co-ordinator is also an student n he is equally eager for his/her job. They are blamed for all sorts of things which are
not in their hands. they are accused of many things which they themselves aren't
aware of......

But the only thing which keeps us driving is the cause for which everybody joined hands & planned a happy ending to the MBA programme.

In immortals of Meluha, a book written by Ameesh Tripathi, Shiva keeps his life aside for a good cause which will keep out of denger"............true feeling.

you know when you are given responsibility, then you want it or not, you rise ahead of your personal desires and there is a holistic feel..........

Thanx to placecom for giving me little tough ground to work, which enabled me to think beyond myself and seriously thanx to people there who keep raising the bars & motivating a selfish guy to work for others....others include many people whom i can manhandle if given a chance........ :P joking yaar!!

chalo now, need to wind it up.............

"Silence kills"

therefore,
"silence of the lambs should not stay long,
i wish to see roar of victory around me"

Amen!!!

‘Rainbow"

its a story in the backdrop of recent Mumbai blast at 6:53 pm in dadar, where a person dies.this is the last page of his life....... 7:30 am A lazy morning in Mumbai, sunlight is filtering through the curtains and on the bed, I am lazily thinking about priorities of my day. I have office at 9, meet with international clients at 11, prepare for tomorrows presentation till 4, then have meeting with boss at 6, hummff that’s it for the day!!! No, no I forgot one thing I have to go to car machanic for wheel alignment as well but before 7 pm at any cost. Well, after getting all the days business set in my mind, I dug my face again in the pillow and fell asleep only when a screaming sound made entry over my ear drums “aaj to Bandar-Bandariya ki shaadi ho rahi hai”(today monkey couple are marrying eachother)…..it was my little kido “Saniya” whom we all call Sana. She jumped over my belly and said,”papa, dekho na bahar kitna acha lag raha hai, barish aur dhoop sath sath”. I grazed out of...

AN INDIAN'S CRY.............

An Indians’ CRY….... Marathi Manoooooos……………whats that??? I acknowledge only one manoooos…………..the common man! The common man ---R.K.LAXMAN’S COMMON MAN! Indian middle class who is always sandwiched between the rocky roughness of corruption and politics. Once again this has happening in Maharashtra. I don’t understand few things what Mr. SWAR _Raj wants to convey as Marathi pride……… 1) Where was Raj, when there were thousands of MARATHI MANOOS committing suicide in Vidarbha and Marathwada.? ( still suicides are prevalent) 2) Where was Raj, when terrorists rocked Mumbai in December last year? ( in his safe house) 3) Where was Raj, when there were 1993 riots? ( Was he a child that time, a spoon fed baby) These three questions are like triangle problem to me whose angles are so obtuse that it is difficult to figure out the area of the triangle. I don’t understand, what they gonna provide to Marathi common man? 1) an identity of ruckus? 2) an identity of mindless g...

Be Moral : make a new beginning!!!

“At the cash counter of civil hospital in the city of Lucknow, there was a spat going on. A young boy, (roughly around 16-17yrs old, clad in untidy clothes, unshaved and with wet eyes) was having a heated debate with the counter man, who on the opposite side of the window, was throwing typical hot-words. Nobody around were looking interested in the debate, but were firmly enjoying the drama with loads of enthusiasm. I was moving towards parking after meeting my relative who was admitted over there, but looks of the boy compelled me to get into the spat. I went to the counter & asked the boy ,”what happened, bhai”? He glanced & tried to figure out whether I am related to the hospital or not, when he failed to assess, he replied, “I need the final bills to get cleared but the counter man says to come after 3 pm”. I looked at my watch, it was 11:45 am, as is apparent, Govt. employees work only post lunch, in the similar fashion, a time of 3:30pm was wisely advised. Then I sug...
