स्वंतंत्रता - अधूरी या पूरी ? *********************************************************************************** ॥ जननी जन्मभूमिश्च स्वर्गादपि गरीयसी ॥  जब स्वयं नारायणावतार भगवान् श्रीराम ने ये कहा था तब महाजनपद होते थे और तथाकथित अखंड भारत हुआ करता था जिसे कहीं इतिहासकारों ने आर्यावर्त का नाम दिया । तब और अब में हज़ार वर्षों का बड़ा अंतर है और मानव मूल्यों में भी अनंत परिवर्तन आया हैं । आज भौतिक मूल्य , मानव-मूल्य भर भारी पड़ चूका है और सब सुख-दुःख धन के परिपेक्ष में देखा जाता है । यदि धन लोलुपता न होती तो कोई भी हिन्दू मुस्लमान आक्रमणकारियों का साथ न देता , यही धन-वैभव का लोभ ना होता तो राजे-राजवाड़े अंग्रेज़ो के तलवे ना चाट रहे होते । एक बार एक वार्ता के दौरान मुद्दा उठा की कौन से राज-घराने अंग्रेज़ो के साथ थे , क्या कोई लिखित साक्ष्य है हमारे पास ? एक वरिष्ठ इतिहासकार ने साधारण शब्दो में उत्तर दिया - "भारत भ्रमण पर निकल जाइये , जहाँ कहीं महल - किले साबूत मिलें , उनका वैभव बरक़रार हो , बस समझ जाइयेगा वो अंग्रेज़ो के साथ थे ।" इतिहासकारो में एक कहावत मशहू

On a micro blogging site, I came across a photograph showing 'a pool of blood on the mid of the road'. You might have also seen that but I found it very interesting as people were claiming it to be shot after recent attack in Baghdad  where more than 200 people lost their lives. I was about to do what almost all of us do ie., reTweet. But I didn't, instead I went to Google reverse search option to check veracity of the image. Well we have so many reverse image search sites like TINEYE  who give a comprehensive report of the images. So what did I found? First, it was not an image of Iraq after the attacks. Second, It was making rounds in social media since 2013 and lastly, I didn't find any credible media house using the image. That image was mostly shared on twitter, facebook or some local blog posts. One of you might argue that that image might be posted by some random social media user ( not aligned to any media house). Yes, there is possibility but the

आज रविवार की सुबह अख़बार पढ़ते हुए, चाय की चुस्की ले रहा था की मेरी बेटी ने एक सवाल किआ - पापा , देशद्रोह क्या होता है ?   हैरानी की बात है की आज के छोटे बच्चे ऐसे कठिन सवाल पूछ लेते है की बड़े बड़ो की बोलती बंद हो जाए । नया दौर खतरनाक रूप से बुद्धिमान हो गया है , ऐसा लगता है ।    अभी पड़ोस के मिश्रा जी की हालत उनके यहाँ मेहमान आए रिश्तेदार के बच्चे ने ख़राब कर दी , मिश्रा जी अंग्रेजी में थोड़े अपंग है और बच्चा अँगरेज़ , हर सवाल अंग्रेजी में , हर बात अंग्रेजी में , सो मिश्रा जी ने अपने ही घर में जान बचाते फिर रहे थे ।    खैर वापस आता हु आज के सवाल पर - देशद्रोह क्या होता है ?   देश के साथ द्रोह को ही देशद्रोह कहते हैं , बेटी इतना सा उत्तर पाकर खुश हो गई । उसे समझ में क्या आया ये तो पता नहीं मगर इस सवाल ने मुझे सोचने पर मजबूर कर दिया ।    चलिए अब ज़रा ध्यान से सोचते है इस विषय पर , क्या विभीषण ने लंका के साथ द्रोह किया था ? क्या जब राणा सांगा ने बाबर को न्यौता भेजा , वो द्रोह नहीं था ? या फिर सांगा के वो साथी जिन्होंने उसे जहर देकर मार डाला , क्या वो द्रोही थे ?   &quo

बात उन दिनों की है जब  देश नयी आज़ादी के जश्न में डूबा था , जगह जगह तिरंगा फहराया जा रहा था, नया राष्ट्रगान सबको रोमांचित कर रहा था । इन्ही सबके बीच बंगाल के एक पिछड़े गांव शिदीरपुर में चौधरी मोमिनुल हक़ का शासन चल रहा था । चौधरी बड़ी रसूखदार वाला जमींदार था ,  कहते हैं अँगरेज़ भी उनसे अदब से  पेश आते थे । जमींदार का घर गांव के एक छोर पर था , ऊँचे टीले पर महलनुमा एक बड़ा बंगला । सामने एक बड़ा सा तालाब और एक लम्बा अहाता , फिर शुरू होता था बड़ा सा दालान और दो तल्ले का बंगला ।    जमींदार अपने सारे फैसले ऊपरी मंजिल के बरामदे से ही सुनाया करता और गरीब गांववाले उसके हर फैसले को सर आँखों पर लेते ।     कहते है जब अमीरी सीमा पार कर जाए तो दिल गरीब हो जाया करता है , ठीक वैसा ही हुआ चौधरी के साथ । उसके कारिंदे आये दिन गरीब किसानों को परेशान करते , खड़ी फसल काट लिया करते , औरतो के साथ ज्यादती की तो कोई सीमा न थी । देश तो आज़ाद था मगर शिदीरपुर आज भी गुलाम था । समय बीतता गया और साथ ही चौधरी का अत्याचार भी । कहावत है की "जब पाप का घड़ा भर जाए तो कोई मसीहा आता है " और शायद गांव

                                         Ritwik, a 5 year old kid who lives next to my house, is selected to take part in the PT Team on the occasion of Independence Day. As a 5 year old kid he hardly knows meaning of Independence but his excitement rests with wearing bright white dress and lure of getting customary Laddoos.
